The Passengers, baroque ensemble

Léa Grenet, recorder, traverso and administration

Piano lessons formed Léa Grenet's introduction to musical studies, permitting her to discover her passion for early repertoire. Fascinated by the rich sound colors of historical instruments, she began the recorder and, after her B.Mus., Was admitted to the class of Sebastien Marq at the Paris Conservatoire (CRR).

A desire to teach and to continue exploring early repertoire lead her to pursue graduate studies with Françoise Defours (Pôle Sup Aubervilliers), where she obtained diplomas in both performance and pedagogy. During her studies, Léa widened her skills to include the traverso, as well as receiving intensive training in consort playing. Her professional career began through invitations to perform with various ensembles (Clic & Tactus, La Camera Delle Lacrime), experiences which inspired her to co-create her own group - Les Passagère.

Always looking for new challenges, she currently combines her professional activities with further studies in recorder and traverso at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (Nathalie Houtman, Frederic de Roos and Jan de Winne).
